Tibet reached a record number of tourists in 2014

15 million visitors to Tibet last year, setting a record for the tourism industry.



2014 is considered the year's tourism boom of visitors to Tibet when it reached 15 million, up 20% over the same period last year. There are more than 51,000 tourists come here have climbed Everest sightseeing, this figure is also higher than 6% compared to 2013. Based on statistics, Tibet's five airports rose 3.15 million arrivals welcomed in today, mainly from China.

Faced with rising tourists, authorities are planning to build a new route to the foot of Mount Everest in 2015 so convenient for travel. And yet, they are building a tourist village nearby, guests can stop and rest.
